Karnataka Bank in its pursuit to leverage technology to provide ease and convenience for its point-of-sale (POS) merchant establishments launched 'KBL POS manager' mobile app on Thursday. The app is an Android based mobile application, which will help Bank's POS merchants managing activities around POS installation such as see daily reports, know latest settlement report value, request statements using app and get statements delivered to their registered e-mail id.
This is a ground breaking, industry first initiative that gives flexibility to merchants to manage their store sales using their smartphone. Customer need not call help desk to log support tickets nor do they need to check emails to see daily settlement report. Store sales can be viewed and monitored from anywhere in the world. Technology is advancing and people are inclined towards smart phones, tablets or any other mobile devices, noted P Jayarama Bhat, MD and CEO. "Today's tech savvy customers are always on the lookout for newer apps and expect their needs to be fulfilled at their fingertips as mobile devices have now become focal point in any business. Banking is no exception," Jayarama Bhat said, adding in pursuit of excellence in customer service, the city based Bank has launched this customized and user-friendly mobile app, through which Bank's POS merchant customers can perform various activities on the go.
"This digital initiative is expected to improve customer satisfaction and encourage merchants to do more transactions on our Bank's terminal," he said adding the mobile app is available to customers free of cost and can be downloaded from Google Play Store.
