Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC is reportedly working on a new series of smartphones called Ocean. Three devices from the series code-named Ocean Master, Ocean Note and Ocean Smart have been leaked by the serial leakster LlabTooFeR.
LlabTooFeR, however, has not revealed any other details about the smartphones other than their names. Speculations suggest that Smart will likely be the basic model, Note may boasts of a large display while Ocean is will be the top-end version. The company is also rumoured to be manufacturing the upcoming Google smartphones expected to be called Pixel and Pixel XL. The smartphones appear set to launch on October 4. Google has sent invites for an event scheduled for the day.
The company is said to be dumping its Nexus lineup in favour of the new smartphones. The new smartphones are speculated to run on Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 821 processor and sport feature 4GB of RAM. As for photos, the smartphones are likely to sport 12MP rear cameras. Both Pixel and Pixel XL will come with fingerprint sensor are said to have soft corners. The screen size will be 5 and 5.5 inches for the Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones respectively. The duo are likely to have 32GB as base storage.
HTC recently unveiled Desire 10 Lifestyle and Desire 10 Pro smartphones. The new mid-range smartphones are likely to be globally rolled out soon. Among the duo, Desire 10 Pro comes with a MediaTek Helio P10 chipset, 3GB or 4GB of RAM and either 32GB or 64GB of internal memory. There's also a 20-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture, laser autofocus and dual-tone flash. On front there's a 13-megapixel selfie camera. HTC Desire 10 Pro sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display and a 3,000 mAh battery.
On the other hand, Desire 10 Lifestyle has 5.5-inch display with HD (720p) resolution. Under the hood, there's a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 2GB or 3GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB of storage. For photos, there's 13-megapixel rear-camera and a 5-megapixel camera in the front.
