OnePlus has launched its exclusive e-commerce store in India, offering customers a "personalized shopping experience." The online store is claimed to improve the availability of OnePlus devices and let buyers access genuine products as well.
"To make it more rewarding for early supporters, OnePlus is also bringing its latest range of exclusive merchandise and is offering limited-time offers for existing users," said the company. Interested users can register the IMEI details of their smartphones on the website (www.oneplusstore.in), in order to avail the offer
For now, the store is only selling OnePlus accessories such as back covers, chargers, Dash car chargers, screen protectors and earphones. And even though OnePlus 3 smartphone is listed on the website, clicking on it leads to the Amazon India page. A company representative has confirmed that OnePlus currently has no plans to sell the latest flagship on its own store.
"We are very excited to bring the globally acclaimed OnePlus shopping experience to our fans in India. With the new platform, our users will find it easier to purchase genuine OnePlus products and fan merchandise, right from the comfort of their homes. The e-commerce platform marks yet another major milestone in our India journey and reiterates our long term commitment towards the Indian market and our fan community here," said Vikas Agarwal, General Manager - India, OnePlus.
OnePlus recently launched the Soft Gold colour variant of its flagship smartphone - OnePlus 3, in India. It's priced the same as regular variant - Rs 27,999. Running custom OxygenOS based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, OnePlus 3 has a 5.5-inch Full HD display of 1080x1920 pixel resolution and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. It also has 64GB of in-built storage. For imaging duties, there's a 16MP autofocus rear camera and 8MP front-facing shooter. A 3,000mAh battery with support for Dash Charge fast charging technology rounds up the spec sheet. The company recently confirmed that it is 'actively working' on bringing Android 7.0 Nougat update to its OnePlus 3.
